In 2001 Stolid Bull started with the Black Thunder riser which set a new standard in bare bow archery. Since then this riser regularly could be seen in the hands of archers at top rankings in high class tournaments.

It is our strong belief that the special balance concept and the massive construction of the Black Thunder is the best way to achieve what some archers call ‚forgiveness“.
Nevertheless we are working on further improvements and additional riser concepts to satisfy our customer’s needs.


Our latest projects are the Vanquish and the Vanquish SX
Both are besed on a modern riser concept with stunning new features, targeted at ambitious archers with the olympic recurve, as well as at bare bow archers who look for a real modern design combined with fantastic balance.

Despite innovation efforts, there are some things we certainly do not want to alter:
